At work

My job is listening, asking lots of questions, editing, agreeing, and making it happen — to your complete satisfaction.

—John Crawley

The Process

John has a practical approach. He will work closely with you, taking you step by step through the entire process.

Briefing, proposing and agreeing

He starts by carefully listening to what you want to achieve, discussing your ideas and making suggestions.

Next, he comes back to you with initial concept and design proposals and a quote for the work. New proposals and detailed design specs will be presented, if necessary, until you are satisfied that your vision has been interpreted and the budget is agreed.

Making it happen

This is a period of great activity as John and his team work closely with suppliers and trades people to provide everything agreed to in the design specifications, paying meticulous attention to each detail and keeping the process under control.

You can participate as closely or distantly as you choose. Some clients prefer to leave John’s team to work independently with suppliers until the project is completed. Others like to be fully involved throughout the process.

John has built relationships with suppliers over many years and works with a trusted network of skilled specialists, including upholsterers, curtain and furniture makers, restorers, painters, architects, electricians and carpenters.

Happy endings

The exciting part — this is when it all comes together and you take ownership of the completed project. John strives to provide high value service and will make sure that you are completely satisfied with every aspect of the work.
